easyridersChances are you've heard a piece of music created by Atlanta-based Blackberry Smoke, one of the headline bands for this weekend's Easyriders Rodeo at the Ross County Fairgrounds.

You just might not realize it.

The self-described "whiskey-soaked rock 'n' roll"-style band had a song, "Up in Smoke," featured in the EA Sports video game "NASCAR '08," and another, "Good One Comin' On," featured prominently in the 2008 Kevin Costner film "Swing Vote."  The band will release its newest album, Little Piece of Dixie, on September 29th.

Besides that, this group boasting a blend of bluegrass, boogie, country and hard rock has appeared with such powerhouse acts as Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Slash and Kid Rock.  The group, when it performs at 8:30 p.m. Friday the 4th and 8:15 p.m. Saturday the 5th, will be just one of the featured bands in the lineup with big-time connections.

The rodeo itself runs today through Sunday, Sept. 6th and is for an adult-only crowd. It features motorcycle shows, on-site camping, unusual events such as barstool races, motorcycle rodeo competitions and other events.
